Another huge difference compared to years past in this rivalry is the fact that the Cavs are considered less top heavy. The second unit, nicknamed the dinobots by Channing Frye, has really gelled even when LeBron James is not on the court.
Monday will present our first look at how Dwyane Wade and Jeff Green can contribute to this rivalry, but it will also be interesting to see how Lue uses Frye in particular, considering the effect he and Kyle Korver have had on floor spacing when on the court together.
But most importantly, it will be our first look to see if the Cavs bench can avoid getting decimated by the Warriors like they did in last year’s Finals.
