Preview: Indians Open Up Three-Game Set Tonight in Comerica Against the Tigers

1. Carrasco Against the Tigers

Carlos Carrasco knows the Tigers more than any other team in the league when it comes to pitching against them, as in his career he’s 11-7 with a 3.67 ERA against the Tigers.

They were the team that two years ago ended his season with the line drive that hit his hand, and in 2016 it was Comerica Park where Carrasco hurt his hammy against the Tigers that put him on the shelf.

Two years later he’s hoping to stay healthy against the Tigers, and this season in his lone start against Detroit he was impressive, beating them with a three-hitter.

In his last start Carrasco dominated the Brewers, going the distance striking out 14 in a 6-2 win over Milwaukee last week on the road.
