Preview: Indians Look to Start May Off Right Tonight Against Rangers

2. A Familiar Foe

The Tribe knows Texas Tuesday starter Doug Fister all too well, having gone up against him 19 times in his career.

Tonight marks start number 20 against the Indians, and in those previous 19 starts he’s 7-5 with a 3.18 ERA against them. In four starts this season Fister is 1-2 with a 3.93 ERA.

In his last start he allowed two runs on four hits in 4.2 innings in an eventual 4-2 win against the Oakland A’s.

The last time he faced the Indians was last August 22nd as a member of the Boston Red Sox, and he dominated the Tribe to the tune of a complete game, allowing one run on one hit, walking two and striking out six.

It was his best start of the season in that outing against the Indians last August, as he went just 8-10 for Boston last season.
