Preview: Indians Look to Spoil Yankees Starter Domingo German’s First Start in Finale in NY

1. Who is Domingo German?

It’s tough at times to come in and face a player you’ve never seen before, but that’s exactly what the Indians will do when they go up against Domingo German on Sunday.

What we know about German is that he’s 25 years old, and has been helping out coming out of the Yankees pen a bit this year, giving the Indians a little tape to watch.

In five relief appearances since he was called up from Triple-A Columbus on April 7, German has a 3.77 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 14.1 innings for the Bronx Bombers.

German He was acquired from Miami along with Nathan Eovaldi in the 2014 trade of Martin Prado and subsequently was re-signed by the Yankees in 2015.

He’s always wanted to be in the Yankees’ starting rotation, and he’ll get his shot to make his mark against the Indians in the finale Sunday.
