Mahal Wins the Strap, Nakamura’s Debut – Five Takeaways from Sunday’s WWE Backlash

1. What’s Next for the Blue Brand?

Now that Backlash is said and done – here’s a couple things that are up in the air as we move along and get ready for SmackDown Live! on Tuesday.

* Mahal’s first promo as champion, and an obvious upcoming rematch with Orton, likely to happen at the next SmackDown PPV, which is Money in the Bank in June.

* Nakamura should also be a major part of the show on Tuesday, as we will see if he remains in the program with Ziggler, or if they move him on to another program and who that will be with.

* The Uso’s look like a lock to keep the tag belts for quite awhile, but we will see if the show sets up some other competitors for the tag belts

* The heel ladies on the roster got a win on the PPV, but they did little to advance the eventual Charlotte vs Naomi feud. We will see if that gets any attention on Tuesday’s show.

* Sami Zayn got a big win over Baron Corbin on the PPV, it looks like they have a push in mind for him, and we will see if it continues on Tuesday.
