Gastelum, Silva To Meet At UFC 212 In Brazil

Bring on The Spider.

Kelvin Gastelum continued to send a message to his new weight class last Saturday night when he defeated UFC legend Vitor Belfort in a first-round TKO performance. That showing came after Gastelum handled UFC veteran Tim Kennedy at UFC 206. Gastelum has certainly thrived at Middleweight after being forced to move up from Welterweight after struggling with cutting down to 170 pounds. Now comes his greatest challenge, one he asked for after his dominant showing in Fortaleza, Brazil this past weekend.

Gastelum called out Anderson Silva and referenced his friend Chael Sonnen starting an “Ass-Kicking” Tour and that he wants to join. Gastelum requested the fight be at UFC 212 in Brazil and he was granted his wish. Silva last fought against Derek Brunson and scored a controversial decision victory. The longtime Middleweight Champion will look to pick up some momentum when he locks up with Gastelum.

UFC 212 takes place on June 3rd in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
