Five Takeaways from Sunday Night’s WWE Extreme Rules

4. Surprise Ending in Tag Title Cage Match

The Hardy’s have been on a roll since their return to the company at WrestleMania, but Sunday the WWE went in a different direction, going with Cesaro and Sheamus as champions once again in a win over Matt and Jeff in a cage match.

It was a shock to see the Hardy’s lose the straps so quickly after winning them at Mania, but what it could signal is a long feud between the four wrestlers, and one that likely will have a number of matches with different stipulations.

The other thing that everyone is looking for is for eventually the Hardy’s, more so Matt than Jeff, to turn into his ‘Broken’ character that made him a mega star in TNA.

Kudos to the long term vision of the company giving the belts back to the heel team of Sheamus and Cesaro, two good solid workers on the roster who deserve to stay in the title mix.
