What 3 Men Stand In Waiting To Challenge Max Holloway After UFC 212?

Frankie Edgar

Holloway may have been able to dispose of Aldo tonight, but one man who has struggled greatly against him over the years is the number one contender and former UFC Lightweight Champion, Frankie Edgar.  “Hey Frankie” has a resume a mile long of accomplishments in this sports and is routinely considered one of the UFC’s most popular and energy filled fighters.

Edgar, since losing to Jose Aldo back at UFC 156 all the way back in February of 2013, has been on a tear.  He has gone 7-1 during that stretch, with that only loss being a rematch to Jose Aldo.  His list of winners during that time reads as a who is who of names in the division.  Such men include BJ Penn, Uriah Faber, Chad Mendes, Cub Swanson, Charles Oliveria, Jeremy Stephens and most recently Yair Rodriguez.

Edgar has more then earned another shot at the title.  Considering four of those 7 wins ended with a convincing KO or Submission, it is kind of hard to argue with the fact that “The Answer” is at the top of his game.
