10 Matches That Should Have Been the Main Event at WrestleMania

2. John Cena vs The Undertaker – WrestleMania 31

No WrestleMania in history was as ravaged and changed by injury as the one this past year in Dallas, as a number of top WWE wrestlers were on the shelf for the event with big injuries.

Add to that list Cena, who had to have surgery and miss the card, making just an appearance with old foe The Rock.

If he was healthy, the scuttlebutt seemed to be leaning towards a match between Cena and The Undertaker, a fresh feud that hadn’t happened in years. It still may happen at Mania 33 from the early sounds of it, but instead of Cena vs Taker, we got Taker vs Shane McMahon, which was fun for what it was, but not what would have been a better ‘wrestling’ match that Cena and Taker would have delivered.

I disagree completely on Hogan vs Flair. Even as a nine year old mark I didn’t want to see that match and loved it when it was changed to Macho Man vs Flair. Also disagree on Triple H vs Cena 2. Absolutely hated Trips back then, so seeing him in another WM title match would have crapped me out. Warrior vs Hogan 2 would have been fun, but then we wouldn’t have gotten the awesome Warrior vs Savage career ending match. Would have been interesting to see what would have happened with Macho though.
