Yet another close loss for CSU, Fall to the Flames 59-54

Cleveland State returned home for a 7:45 pm contest against UIC this Thursday, and suffered yet another close loss down the stretch losing to UIC Flames; 59-54

CSU is now 5-12 overall, 1-4 in league play.

Rob Edwards was back to his productive-self leading all scorers with 13 points, adding 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Having his best game of the season was Jamarcus Hairston who scored 10 points off the bench for the Vikings, going 4-9 from the field, along with 4 rebounds, and 2 steals as well.

Bobby Word recorded 10 points and 5 rebounds.

It ultimately came down to poor execution down the stretch after putting themselves in position to win and allowing their opponent to beat them from the free-throw line. If this trend continues, something will have to change whether is line-ups, different personnel, more conditioning, etc.

Next, Valparaiso visits CSU for a 3:30 PM ET tip-off on Saturday, January 14th.

Go Vikings!
