HUDSON, Ohio – Your WPSL Cleveland Ambassadors toppled the Columbus Eagles 3-0 for their 7th straight victory and 9th of the 2017 campaign. They move their overall record to
9 wins -1 loss – 2 draws. In front of 222 rowdy fans at Hudson High School.
As the ladies of Lake Erie hone in on a playoff run, they are hitting their full stride at the perfect time. They have been on fire on the shutouts have been a plenty! They next play on July 14th, on the road against FC Indiana. A team they beat earlier this season at Rocky River High School, 3-0. From there, they wrap up the regular season against the Dayton Lions on July 17 at home, at West Geauga High School.
The goal has been a steel wall for this team as of late, as they have not allowed any goals for the last three straight games, and have been feisty around the net all season. They are one of the best defensive teams in the league.
The kicked off the scoring at the 3 minute mark when Sarah Krause took a perfectly placed pass from Leckie to find the back of the net and get the scoring going, early and often!

The Cleveland Ambassadors would keep things going late in the first hand as they lit up the pitch again with some fancy passing, footwork and hustle leading to their second goal. This time it was Lopresti setting up Anna Rico who powerfully made it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Rico has been on an absolute tear as of late.

It would remain 2-0 for most of the second half until the final minutes when, once again, the All Star Play of Anna Rico would strike again. Once again using some fancy footwork to set up her second goal of the matchup and make it 3-0 in the 89th minute.
