Action spilled over into the fifth set before a victor was finally determined between Berea-Midpark and Westlake, going in favor of the Titans 15-9.
The Titans and Demons battled back and forth splitting sets until the Titans closed the door in the final frame (26-24, 23-25, 25-16, 23-25, 15-9). Three Titans posted double digit kills, 18 a piece for juniors Nicole Peterson and Kayla Gudel. Freshmen newcomer Heaven Santiago added 10 kills of her own. Daria Khramkova and Breanna Lindo combined for eights aces from the service line, while senior setter Aubree Nolan broke her own school record again with 49 assists on the evening. Gudel, Santiago and Khramkova each had six blocks as the Titans owned the net defensively. Nolan and Natalie Winstead each recorded 12 digs a piece in the victory.
