The #2 seed Padua Bruins defeated the #3 seed Holy Name Greenwave, 1-0, in a playoff rivalry game, avenging Padua’s two losses from a regular season double header and sending the Bruins to the District Final, where they’ll play #4 seed Firelands.
Jack Stolar pitched a no-hitter for Holy Name, issuing a walk, allowing a sacrifice bunt and then an RBI sac fly from Tommy Whitely proved to be the only run of the day.
Kyle Wisniewski went the distance for Padua, surrendering zero runs, four hits, striking out six, and walking zero.
