CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Ohio State Buckeyes will look to remain undefeated as they will host the Minnesota Gophers. The Gophers are 3-2 on the season. They are coming off a loss to Iowa in a shootout with a final score of 48-31. Minnesota is 0-2 against the conference in the Big Ten – West division. For Ohio State, they are 6-0 on the season. They are 3-0 against the conference in the Big Ten – East division.
Here are three keys for a Buckeyes victory:
1. Copy-cat Iowa: The Hawkeyes threw for 314 and four touchdowns against Minnesota. For Ohio State, they have QB Dwayne Haskins who is currently in the running for the Heisman trophy award at the end of the season. It’s pretty simple. Follow what Iowa did and Ohio State will run away with this one rather quickly.
2. Running game: Last week J.K. Dobbins rush the ball 26 times for Ohio State. While Mike Weber only had 13 carries. But in total, they had 152 yards rushing and one touchdown. As the season gone on, Dobbins has become the main feature for the Buckeyes. It will be interesting to see if Mike Weber can earn carries.
3. Defensive rush: Last week verse the Indian Hoosier, the rushing defense had three sacks and two quarterback hurries. The absence of DE Nick Bosa continues to be well-known. The Buckeyes rushing attack misses Bosa. For Ohio State, this could be a good week to get the rushing attack in a rhythm.
