The Mustang Boys Varsity Soccer Team capped off their regular season with a well earned 1-0 win over Massillon Jackson. JR Michael Neumann netted his 7th goal of the season and 3rd game winner on the year taking a pass from JR Sam Majka and depositing his 22 yd strike in to the bottom left corner of the net.
SR GK Nolan Kellogg earned his 9th clean sheet of the year. The team upped its record to 13-2-1 overall. The Mustangs finished 5-1-1 in the GCC and shared the conference crown with Solon and Medina. The boys have a week off to prepare for the winner of the Elyria/North Olmsted matchup next Saturday, October 20th. The game is slated for a 7pm kickoff at the Ehrnfelt Soccer Complex. The team earned a #1 seed in the Elyria Sectional-District and should they win on 10/20 they will host one more contest on 10/24 in a District Semifinal. |
