Scott Merrill Named New Brunswick High School Boys Track & Field Coach

Scott Merrill was approved at the November 20th Brunswick Board of Education Meeting as  the new Head Coach of the Brunswick High School Boys Track & Field Program.

Merrill replaces Jay Turner who had accepted the position in September but resigned shortly after  due to new requirements of his job.

Merrill is certainly no stranger to Brunswick Track & Field as he returns to a role he previously held when he guided the Boys Track & Field program at Brunswick as the Head Coach from 2008 -2015.

After stepping down as the Head Coach in 2015, Merrill stayed on as an assistant for the past two seasons. Merrill, a 1989 Brunswick High School graduate, competed in Track & Field at Kansas State University. After graduating from KSU, Merrill served as an assistant at BHS for one season in 1997 and then returned as an assistant beginning in 2006 where he remained until taking over the boys program in 2008.
