Robinson Edges Closer to 1,000 Yard Mark as Hiram falls to Denison

Granville, OH – The Hiram Terriers fall to the Denison Big Red 45-14 last night in the North Coast Athletic Conference Matchup.

The Terriers would start the game off with a 49 yard run from Danny Robinson. Robinson would finish the day with 112 yards on 16 carries. The Terriers would take the lead with 12:12 left in the first quarter.

Denison would retaliate after the first Hiram score with a 5:31 possession that would end up in a touchdown from Canaan Gebele. Gebele went for 181 yards on 77 percent completion on his attempts and had a touchdown on the campaign today. The score is even at seven with 6:26 remaining in the first quarter.

The second score would come from a one yard rush from Randy Rucker, giving himself 181 yards with 14 completions on the afternoon that features a 43 yard pass. The Terriers regain the lead with 3:35 left in the first.

The Terriers would not score following the first quarter and the Big Red would deliver 38 unanswered points for the remainder of the game.

The Big Reds would finish with 511 total yards with Alex Milton’s 173 on just 21 carries.

Robinson 112 yards would push his career total to 936, he is close to becoming Hiram’s second 1,000 yard running back in program history.

The Terriers drop to 2-6 overall and 1-6 in conference play. The Big Red of Denison will improve to 5-3 overall and 4-3 in NCAC play.

Denison is scheduled to face the College of Wooster on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 1:00 p.m.. Hiram is set for another road matchup against the Yeomen of Oberlin on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 1:00 p.m..
