Preview: Indians Look for Second Straight Home Win Over Sox Tonight at Progressive Field

CLEVELAND – Monday night was another successful outing for ‘Bauer Outage’ as Trevor Bauer continued to show why he’s one of the best up and coming hurlers in baseball, throwing seven shutout innings in a Tribe 6-2 win.

Bauer lobbied to go back out in the 8th after the rain, but the coaching staff felt otherwise, and while the pen gave up two runs, the team still got the win.

On offense, Roberto Perez had two hits including a two-run double despite being sick all day, and Jason Kipnis got his average over .200 with three hits and a homer.

Tonight the team will turn to long haired righty Mike Clevinger, who is 5-2 on the season and is also throwing well, coming in with a 3.15 ERA.

Here’s a look at tonight’s tilt at Progressive Field.

Time: 7:10 p.m.

Starting Pitchers: LHP Carlos Rodon (0-1, 3.60) vs. RHP Mike Clevinger (5-2, 3.15)
