Preview: Indians Begin West Coast Trip Tonight in Oakland Against the A’s

The start of the recent Indians road swing after a 7-2 homestand didn’t exactly get off to a good start, as the team fell in two out of three to the St.Louis Cardinals, including a rare loss for Corey Kluber on Tuesday night.

The series did end on an up note and that was thanks to another solid outing for Shane Bieber, who not only got the win but also recorded his first Major League hit in Wednesday’s 5-1 win.

The road swing continues tonight as the team will travel to Oakland to take on the A’s, a club out of the AL West that has played better than many would have expected, entering play on Friday six games over .500 at 44-38.

Oakland is actually better on the road than they are at home, as they enter play tonight .500 at home at 20-20, while they are 24-18 on the road.

Here’s a look at tonight’s game with a quick preview.
