PREVIEW: Cavs Look for 14th Straight Win Tonight as They Travel to Play the Pacers

2. Make the Pacers Work

The last time the two teams met, the Cavs were on a horrid streak on defense, as they were last in the league in defense, and the Pacers made them pay shooting 54 percent from the field and 61 percent from three-point range.

The recent 13-game win streak has seen a complete 180 in terms of the team from a defensive standpoint, as they have moved up to 23 in total defense, but in this streak they are the 6th best defensive team in the league.

They have rebounded better, have made teams work more for shots, and not let guys roam free getting looks at open jumpers.

If the Cavs can continue that tonight in Indy, they should be able to escape with a win. If not, the Pacers can score a lot in a hurry with their success from three-point range.

They were the worst defensive team in the NBA when Indiana came to The Q and ran them off the court. Now, they’re 23rd overall defensively and sixth during this 13-game winning streak
