Preview: Browns Head to Indianapolis to Take on the Colts as Rare Road Favorites

2.Defense

The Browns have been impressive on defense in the first two weeks against the top dogs in the AFC North in the Steelers and Ravens. The Browns currently rank 16th in the NFL in total defense. The strength of the defense is the rushing attack, and the one area this defense can improve on is adjusting to teams passing game.

The Browns rank 19th in passing defense. It’s not a matter of the players themselves, but where they are positioned on the field. For example, being 10-15 yards off the wide receivers on routes that go underneath the defense. Basically, the Browns are defending the deep ball in those situations. The Browns have to find a way to defend the short, underneath, slanting routes.
