Players To Love And Hate In Week 7 Of Fantasy Football

Drew Brees

Hates:

QB Drew Brees NO $8,500
Brees is not the same QB when you take him away from New Orleans. He has 11 TDs and 2 INTs at home compared to 3 TDs and 2 INTs on the road. The Chiefs are still an above average defense despite losing some of their key players and Arrowhead is among the hardest stadiums for a visiting team to play in.

QB Carson Wentz $7,100
The Vikings are undefeated and it is because of their number one defense. They look better than the Broncos did last year and that is hard to come by. While Wentz has looked far from a rookie he doesn’t put up a ton of fantasy points and the Vikings have held everyone they have played in check. They are a matchup nightmare.

RB Devonta Freeman ATL $7,500
The Chargers are ranked in the top five against the run and Coleman has really taken away from Freeman this year. Excluding the Denver game, Freeman has gotten 15 carries in a game just once this season and also has 100 yards just once.

RB Matt Forte NYJ $6,700
The Jets might lean more on the run this week with Geno Smith becoming the starter but Forte has seen a rough going after the first two weeks. Since then he hasn’t had more than 15 carries or 65 yards in a game and is losing the majority of the snaps to Powell. The Ravens are also the top defense against the run.

RB Isaiah Crowell CLE $6,400
The injuries to the interior line have killed Crowell’s value. In the last two weeks he has 22 rushes for 38 yards. If Pryor misses the game too then the Bengals can load the box and force one of these unknown receivers to beat them.

RB Ryan Matthews PHI $5,800
Matthews has not had a big year like I thought he would be in line for after how well he ran last year. Since week one he doesn’t have more than 11 carries in one week. He’s also gone three weeks without a rushing touchdown and he faces the Vikings this week.

WR Antonio Brown PIT $9,000
Brown is still going to get a ton of targets but he won’t be worth the value his price tag has him at with Landry Jones. He just does not get the same production and was held to just 39 yards last week against the Dolphins. I would personally avoid all the Steelers players this week if possible.

WR Terrelle Pryor CLE $7,300
He is going to be a game time decision for Cleveland and if he plays I’m not wanting to risk it. Pryor relies on his speed and athletic ability because he doesn’t have the polish since he’s still new to the position. A hamstring injury is scary for a wide receiver. If he does play there is a decent chance he can tweak it or not be able to play like he normally does.

WR Willie Snead NO $6,800
I mentioned why I don’t like Brees this week and Snead has also struggled recently. In the last two games he has a combined five catches and zero touchdowns. It looks like Fleener and Michael Thomas are beginning to eat into his catches more consistently.

TE Zach Ertz PHI $5,100
I like the pricetag on Ertz for his potential but I can’t start anybody or even like anybody against the Vikings at this point. He only has three targets each game since his return but if the Eagles want to get going they should find him more often, just after this week.
