I’m recommending a trip to Waynesfield Raceway Park Saturday night for the “Jack Hewitt Open Wheel Classic.” The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series will be racing for $3,000 to win while the modifieds will be running for $1,000 to win. Mini sprints will also be in action. Hewitt was the Grand Marshall last month for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora. A native of Troy, Ohio, Hewitt was the first driver to sweep all four legs of the USAC Four Crown Nationals, doing so at Eldora in 1998. Hewitt is 4th on the all-time USAC National Sprint Car Series win list.
