Bayston Takes All Star Main At Attica

He’s young and relatively new to winged sprint cars. That didn’t keep 18-year-old Spencer Bayston from capturing the checkered flag in the A-Main during the second night of HD Supply Spring Nationals at Attica Raceway Park. The victory was the first for Bayston with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. The first night of Spring Nationals saw D.J. Foos win the 410 sprint feature after he passed Byron Reed with four laps to go to.

Top Tens With The Outlaws

Ohio natives Sheldon Haudenschild and Greg Wilson scored top ten finishes Saturday night at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas. Saturday’s show was the final night of the two-day Texas Outlaw Nationals. The Saturday showing was a solid rebound after Haudenschild finished P17 and Wilson failed to make the main event a night earlier.

Midvale Feature Winners

Midvale Speedway opened its 64th season of racing Saturday night. Ryan Tedesco (Late Models), Lucas Ripley (Modifieds), Tom Earley (Street Stocks), Rich Schweitzer (Mini Trucks) and Gage Jaberg (Compacts/Fast Feature) Korey Herron (Compacts/Second Feature) were feature winners on the 3/10 mile paved oval.

Boggs Takes Jim Dunn Qualifier At Atomic

Jackie Boggs outlasted Rod and Delams Conley to win the Jim Dunn Qualifier Saturday night at Atomic Speedway. Boggs joins Devin Moran who won the first qualifying event at Midway Speedway. The next Jim Dunn Qualifier is this Saturday at Hilltop Speedway. The 35th Annual Jim Dunn Memorial is slated for June 18th at Midway Speedway.

Busy Week Ahead

Big shows will be held throughout the Buckeye State later this week. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will visit Atomic Speedway (Waverly, Ohio) Thursday night for the Buckeye Spring 50. One night later the series will make their first ever stop in Hartford, Ohio at Sharon Speedway for the Steel Valley 50. Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio) will open Saturday night with a visit from the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. The Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association is slated to open its scheduled this weekend. The series set to run Friday night at Legendary Hilltop Speedway in Marietta, Ohio, with a trip to Ohio Valley Speedway in Washington, West Virginia scheduled for Saturday. Sandusky Speedway will open its 1/2 mile paved oval Sunday. H

Back To Bristol

After a week off, NASCAR returns to racing this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. The NASCAR Xfinity Series will run Saturday at 1 p.m., the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series slated to race Sunday at 2 p.m.

INDY in Alabama

The Verizon INDYCAR Series visits Barber Motorsports Park this weekend for the Honda INDY Grand Prix of Alabama. The green flag is set to fly Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
