CLEVELAND, Ohio- Some more news is coming out of the Cleveland Monsters organization today, as the team has looked for some more scoring options.
The team has picked up Kyle Thomas and Alex Petan, signing both players to Professional Tryout Contracts.
Thomas is a right wing who has played in the ECHL this year, accumulating 25 goals and 37 assists in 47 games this season for the Fort Wayne Komets. Thomas has played in the ECHL and SPHL in his career and has had a huge season this year.
Petan is a forward who has played five games this year in the AHL, all for the Iowa Wild. He put up one goal and one assist in his very short AHL sample size. Petan has also played in the ECHL this season, adding up 41 games for Quad City. In those appearances, Petan put up thirteen goals and sixteen assists.
The Monsters take on the Rockford IceHogs this Wednesday.
