Monsters Captain Ryan Craig Announces Retirement, Joins Vegas Golden Knights As Assistant Coach

Monsters Captain Ryan Craig has looked to continue his career in a different role this upcoming season: Coaching.

Craig has ended his days as a professional hockey player and will now join the Vegas Golden Knights as an assistant coach. Below is the announcement of his retirement via the Cleveland Monsters Twitter, followed by the Golden Knights Twitter announcing his arrival.

Craig was the Captain for the Monsters for the last three seasons, leading the team to the Calder Cup Championship in 2016. More so defined by his character and leadership role than the stat sheet, Craig is responsible for helping mold most of the Blue Jackets rookies from last season.

From all of Cleveland, Thanks Ryan Craig.
