Medina Survives Crash and Weather to Take Two in the Capital City!

COLUMBUS,Ohio – The Medina Bee’s flew south Saturday to take both ends of a double header facing two completely different teams. They defeated Olentangy Liberty 4-3 and Olentangy 3-0.

Ackerman went all seven innings against Liberty only giving up two earned runs and striking out 4 in the win. John Curtis followed up Ackermans impressive performance with one of his own as he tossed a complete game shutout, only giving up 3 hits and striking out 5 in a brilliant outing that only saw him walk one batter.

Senior Collin Winters had a stellar day as he reached base 6 times in 6 plate appearances combined in both wins. He had 2 doubles and a triple, driving in two runs including the winning RBI in game one against Liberty.

Another point of interest was the team bus finding its way into a ditch on the way home. Only by the grace of God, no one was harmed and I’m happy to report thanks to the help of some kind people nearby, the team eventually made it home safely.

Medina now returns home Monday night to play Shaker Heights at 4:30 before going back on the road later this week to take on Mentor on Tuesday and Wadsworth next Friday. With the two wins today, Medina improved their record to 4-2 on the regular season.
