The Medina varsity boys soccer team defeated Copley 5-1 in an OHSAA District Final on Saturday evening.
Five different Medina players scored in the match. Tommy Guta, Mike Kelly, Josh Cabacungan, and Ian Gummo all scored goals in the first half. Nnamdi Seukwa scored the final goal for the Bees in the second half.
Medina improves to 14-1-4 overall on the season. The Bees advance to the Sweet 16 for the 4th year in a row.
They will face off with University School in a Regional Semifinal matchup at Solon High School on Wednesday night. The match is scheduled for 7pm.
