The former NXT Champion is the current IC title holder, and he’s clearly going to have a long future with the company if he continues on his current path.
Fans seem to respond to his tough guy heel gimmick, but something tells me long term there’s a face wrestler in there dying to come out, and maybe this year just like Ambose, the WWE Title as well as a change to being a face would be a great shot to making Owens the face of the company.
It may be a little early, but don’t discredit Owens as a guy this company wants to make their Heavyweight title holder at some point in the next 1-2 years, and it could be now.
