ROCKY RIVER, Ohio- There’s news coming out of Lutheran West regarding their vacant Volleyball Head Coach position, as the Longhorns have found the next head coach and program director.

Jeff Schaef, the former Lakewood varsity head coach who won 49 games between 2012-15 has accepted the job of Head Coach and Program Director of the Longhorns’ Volleyball Team. Schaef has also been a part of the Freshman and Junior Varsity Lakewood Volleyball staffs and won the NOC Coaching Staff of the year in 2011. He has been the assistant club director for Quicksilver Volleyball Club and has sixteen years as a Junior Olympic head coach on the Regional and American levels. Add 30 years of a professional playing career in the USAV AA/Open level for indoor and beach doubles and this is a perfect fit.

Schaef will be bringing on Kris Pesorda as the Assistant Varsity Coach. Pesorda has experience in the PAC-12 playing with Keystone in the 1990’s, then going to play at Bowling Green for four years. She has also coached at BGSU among other colleges and high schools.
