LeBron James Named 2016 AP Male Athlete of the Year

LeBron James was named 2016 AP Male Athlete of the Year, capping off an eventful year of accolades.

LeBron led the way to ending Cleveland’s 52-year championship drought and won Finals MVP for the dramatic 3-1 series comeback against the Warriors.

James finished ahead of Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps, receiving 24 first-place votes for the Male Athlete of the Year award.
