After leaving Sunday’s game due to illness, Kevin Love returns to practice on Monday

INDEPENDENCE, OHIO– After leaving Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks with a sudden illness, Kevin Love was back on the court for Monday’s Cavaliers practice.

Love was sent to the hospital last night and was in and out in “about an hour,” after leaving during the second half.

“I just ran to the back, I just wasn’t feeling right,” Love said. “Stomach, shortness of breath. And they got me out of there, sent me just for a routine check at the hospital.”

While at the hospital, Love said he received fluids and an IV. He also said that the illness came about suddenly. During the third quarter, Love asked to be subbed out.

“I was just feeling all out of sorts,” he said. “I can’t truly explain how I felt, because I never really felt like that. That was a first for me. Ty Lue had drawn up a play and I kind of wheeled my way out of the huddle and he came to talk to me and I just booked it right to the back.”

As of right now, he does not believe there will be a need for a follow-up.
