CLEVELAND– Kevin Love remains in the NBA’s concussion protocol and his status for Game 1 of the NBA Finals has not yet been determined.

Head coach Tyronn Lue confirmed the news during a conference call with reporters on Tuesday.

Love was injured in the first quarter of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals last Friday when he collided heads with Jayson Tatum. He was not active for Game 7 on Sunday as a result. Jeff Green started in the All-Star power forward’s place and scored 19 points and pulled down eight rebounds.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals is Thursday night in Oakland as the Cavaliers will take on the Golden State Warriors for the fourth straight year. The full Finals schedule can be found here.
