Inside the Lines: Who to Take and Not Take This Weekend in College and Pro Football Action

Last week was a terrible week for me. This will be the final betting lines for the season so let’s try and end this one on a positive note.

NCAAF:

West Virginia vs. Arizona State
Arizona State +2

There aren’t many games left so this will be my only pick for college. There’s also not a whole ton for me to really say about this game. Both teams are middle of the road and there’s no real glaring standout. On paper it’s a pretty even matchup. In terms of location, it’s pretty much a home game for Arizona State and that’s why I’ll give them the victory.

NFL:

PIT vs. CLE
PIT -10.5

It’s a must win for Pittsburgh if they want any shot of going to the playoffs. The Steelers won the first matchup this season by 21. A desperate Pittsburgh team is going to be hard to beat for any team in the NFL let alone the Browns. The weakness of Pittsburgh is the passing defense and getting to face a third string QB benefits them. Pittsburgh wins a home game in Cleveland.

NYJ vs. BUF
Over 42

The Jets are in the playoffs with a win. The hate between the Jets and Bills is real and I expect both teams to try and blow the other team out. The Jets have won five straight and have scored over 21 points in four of the five. Fitzpatrick to Marshall and Decker is hot right now and they can score on Buffalo. You know Rex Ryan hates the Jets and will look to Tyrod Taylor to spoil the Jets playoff hopes. I think this one can be more of a shootout than both teams are accustomed to.
