Indians Walk-Off in 4-3 Extra Frames Win Over Red Sox; Three Takeaways

CLEVELAND – It was yet another long night of baseball at Progressive Field, as the Indians and Red Sox played four hours and 20 minutes worth of baseball in what was the final regular season game of 2018, but for Tribe fans it was well worth it.

The Indians topped the Red Sox 4-3, winning the season series over the best team record-wise in the American League four games to three.

Here’s hoping that these two teams will get a crack at doing it with everything on the line in October in the American League Championship Series.

The winner came in the 11th, as Indians outfielder Greg Allen hit a single though a drawn in infield, driving in Jose Ramirez with the winning run.

It was the 7th walk-off win of the season for the Tribe, ad the second of Allen’s career, as he hit a solo homer back on May 27th against the Astros for his first career walk-off.

Here’s three takeaways from the Tribe victory that moves them to 87-68 with seven games left.
