Indians Pitcher Trevor Bauer Fires Back Regarding Reports He’s Using “Transfusions” to Get Back to Health

Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer has spent some of his time Saturday fighting back a rash of ridiculous reports that’s he’s using “alternative methods” to try and get healthy and return to the team as soon as possible.

The original tweet that started the drama came from Michael Baumann, who in his bio states he’s a writer for “The Ringer” – the website owned by Bill Simmons and is a part of SB Nation.

Here’s what Baumann had to say (this pic was directly off coverage on MLB Network from a story about the subject on Deadspin earlier Saturday).

Baumann explained that his tweet was made “tongue and cheek” and should not have been taken seriously. Bauer was not amused.

Bauer then went after both ESPN and MLB Network in a tweet for falling for the obvious fake report that Baumann has admitted was not meant to go that far.

So far there’s been no response from MLB Network telling fans that the story was false.
