Indians Lose 3 of 4 To Mariners Following 10-4 Loss; Three Takeaways from the Setback

2. When It Rains, It Pours

In the seventh inning, the Indians attempted to make a comeback on Jose Ramirez RBI double to left off of Ben Gamel’s glove by making a diving attempt play.

In the top of the eighth inning, Nick Goody came in to pitch and this weekend hasn’t been so well for him. Right off the bat he allowed a triple to Mitch Haniger.

Two batters later, Gamel brought Haniger home on his RBI single. After that, Ryon Healy hit his second homer of the day to make it a 9-4 game.

Seattle continued to pound Indians relievers as Haniger wrapped up the scoring with a solo homer off Zach McAllister in the 9th to make it a 10-4 game.
