Indians Avoid Arbitration with Allen, Shaw, Tomlin, Chisenhall and Manship

The Indians today reached terms with a couple key players for 2016, avoiding arbitration with five players.

Cody Allen, Bryan Shaw, Josh Tomlin, Lonnie Chisenhall and Jeff Manship all have inked deals with the Tribe.

Last season Allen led the team with 34 saves in 38 chances. Shaw has been solid the last couple seasons, last year he had 23 holds. He leads the Majors in appearances from 2013-15 with 224.

Chisenhall is expected to challenge for a starting position in the Indians outfield in 2016. Last season he hit .288 in the second half, and played well in right field for the Tribe.

Tomlin was 7-2 with a 3.02 ERA in 10 starts for the Indians, and also will be in the mix for a start in the Indians rotation in 2016.

Manship was great in for the Indians as a reliever in 2015, as he posted a 0.92 ERA in 32 games for the Indians. He threw 39.1 innings, allowing just four earned runs, walking 10 and striking out 33.
