Indians 3B Juan Uribe Says He’s Okay After Being Hit in Helmet and Cheek Friday Night

Friday night’s Indians loss produced a scary moment as Indians 3B Juan Uribe was hit hard in the head with a 93 mile per hour pitch during the Tribe’s 5-1 loss to the O’s.

Uribe was hit both in the helmet and cheek by Orioles pitcher Odrisamer Despaigne in the 7th inning of the loss. Cleveland.com’s Paul Hoynes spoke with Uribe after the game.

“They (hitting coaches Ty Van Burkleo and Matt Quatraro) told me they don’t throw inside, they told me they throw outside,” said Uribe. “Now if the told me they throw inside I’d be more careful.”
