HS Hockey: Hudson Topples Strongsville 3-2

Strongsville traveled to Hudson in a battle of two emerging teams with high hopes this season. Hudson scored in the opening period and managed to exchange goals with the Mustangs the rest of the way to skate away with the 3-2 opening night victory.

For the Mustangs, Goal tender Luke Bell had 22 saves in a busy night that saw him defend 25 shots.
Strongsville had 21 shots in what was a steady attack.

Logan Schramm had a Power Play Goal assisted by Jake Schuette and Nate Rajecki Logan also had an unassisted goal, but it wasn’t enough for the Mustangs to take down the Explorers.

For Hudson Cameron slifko opened the season scoring with a goal, while Blake Lori was quick to follow with goal number two for the Explorers. Wyatt Prado quickly answered a Mustang goal in the second period to round out the scoring for the Explorers.

Goalie Will Hannan recorded 17 saves, as the Explorers out-shot the opponent 23-20. The team also honored the Ohio Warriors Sled Hockey team prior to the game.
