The Eagles came out strong and built a half-time lead of 23-17 over the Shoremen. The score see-sawed back and forth in the second half with Avon Lake taking a late lead at 46-41.
A clutch bucket by Sean Elbin with 9 seconds remaining drew the Eagles within 3 points at 46-44. However Jared Strongs’s attempted tying shot fell short at the final horn giving the Shoremen the victory.
