Hathaway Brown Advances to State Championship with 48-40 Win over Miami Trice

The Hathaway Brown Blazers reached the Division II State Championship with a 48-40 victory over Miami Trice on Thursday, March 16.

Hathaway Brown was led by a dominant performance from Dani Lawson, who scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Lawson was clutch at the free throw line, knocking down 8-of-10 attempts. Hanna Harlor scored eight points and also grabbed 14 boards.

The duo outrebounded Miami Trice by themselves, as the Blazers owned a 48-26 advantage in the rebounding department.

Tanner Bryant led Miami Trice with a game-high 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Kaydan Lawson scored 10 points for the Blazers, while Jackie Carman scored nine.

The Blazers advance to face defending champs Archbishop Alter in the Division II State Championship on Saturday, March 18 at 10:45 am at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus.

Hathaway Brown looks for its first sixth state championship in school history.
