Five Things We Learned Out of the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble (Including One HUGE WrestleMania Spoiler)

3. No One Could Have Seen Randy Orton Winning The Rumble

It was maybe the biggest shock in the company since Undertaker lost to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX, that being Randy Orton eliminating Roman Reigns to win the 2017 Royal Rumble.

Orton winning seemed to get leaked late in the day, as those sites that actually take betting for WWE events had Orton at -1800 to win the Rumble, a number that clearly showed he was going to win.

Now why and when that decision was made was anyone’s guess, as the names that were bantered about all week to win the event were Undertaker, a returning Balor, or even Goldberg or Brock Lesnar, which made sense given the hype about the two leading to the Rumble.

But Orton?

It was a decision that clearly was meant to show that at the end of the day, no WWE fan truly knows what Vince will do to pull a swerve.
