DB Terrance Mitchell Returns from Wrist Injury; Expected to Play Sunday against Panthers

Browns cornerback Denzal Ward is in concussion protocol according to interim head coach Gregg Williams, which is bad news for the already beat up Browns.

The team did get some good news Monday, that being the report that defensive back Terrance Mitchell is returning from the Injury Reserve this week. Mitchell has missed the last eight games with a broken right wrist.

During the off-season, the Browns signed Mitchell to a 3 yr(s)/$10 mil contract. Before his injury, Mitchell was arguable the Browns top corner. The Browns are ranked 28th against the pass, but Mitchell should help that stat line a lot.

The Browns playoff hopes aren’t dead yet. But, they must win out in order to have any shot at the postseason. It’s a long shot, but as the team will get Mitchell back and hopefully will have Ward on Sunday if he can get out of the concussion protocol.

he Browns will host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday (12-3-18). Kickoff is at 1 p.m. on FOX. Carolina opens as a 1 point favorite on the road. They are currently riding a four game losing streak.
