CSU Vikings Take on Ohio Today at the Q

GAME #9 – vs. OHIO

GAME PREVIEW:
•     Cleveland State returns to action when the Vikings host Ohio at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday (Dec. 12) at 1:00 pm.

    •    Saturday’s game will be the first of seven on Time Warner Sports Channel this year for CSU. Al Pawlowski will provide the play-by-play with Pat Vuyancih serving as the analyst.

    •    There will also be a video stream on ESPN3.
•    The game will also be broadcast live on AM 1220 WHKW with Ed Daugherty providing the play-by-play.
•     CSU is 2-6 overall and is coming off a 66-62 setback to Kent State on Saturday (Dec. 5) at Quicken Loans Arena.
•     Ohio is 4-3 overall and dropped its last contest, 81-68, at St. Bonaventure on Saturday (Dec. 5).

THE OHIO SERIES:
•    Ohio leads the all-time series with Cleveland State, 10-2. CSU is 3-2 all-time against the Bobcats in Cleveland.
•    OU won the most recent meeting, 64-62, in the first round of the 2014 CollegeBasketballInsider.com Tournament in Athens, Ohio.
•    That was the first meeting between the two teams since an 87-82 Ohio win on Nov. 20, 1999.

GAME 8 RECAP – KENT STATE 66, @CSU 62 (12/5/2015)
•    The Vikings fell to Kent State, 66-62, in CSU’s first game at Quicken Loans Arena this year on Saturday (Dec. 5).
•    Vinny Zollo recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.

    •    Rob Edwards scored 14 points with four rebounds, while Andre Yates hit four three-pointers en route to 14 points.

UP NEXT:
•    CSU travels to former Horizon League member Loyola (Ill.) for an 8:00 pm ET game on Wednesday (Dec. 16).
•    The Vikings return home to host Belmont at the Wolstein Center on Saturday (Dec. 19) at 1:00 pm.
