Cowboys’ Fans Create Website and Petition to Bring Johnny Manziel to Dallas

Even before Johnny Manziel was selected 22nd overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, there were rumors the Heisman quarterback from Texas A&M was headed to Dallas.

After all of his escapades, including the most recent story that he was spotted in Las Vegas wearing a disguise the night before the final game of the regular season, it seems likely that he will be out of Cleveland, and Dallas is a possible landing spot.

Cowboys’ fans have gone to the internet to make their voices known that they want their prodigal son to return to Texas.

BringJohnny2Dallas.com is a new website launched on Friday that offers fans the option to sign the petition for the Cowboys to acquire Manziel.

A statement on the website reads, “We need to bring the greatest quarterback to grace God’s country, Texas, back to Texas! Johnny is a quarterback that can bring some spark back to ‘Merica’s Team. The young star hasn’t yet had his chance to shine. As the future leader of the greatest sports franchise in the world, he would get that chance. As true fans, we need to put a star on this man’s helmet and bring him home to the Lone Star State where he belongs. Dallas fans, let’s make Jerry hear our voice by spreading Johnny awareness across our great state!”

There is also an option to buy a t-shirt to spread the message.

This website describes Texas in a nutshell. As of 10:18 am on Saturday, January 16th, there are 578 signatures. One of the signatures reads, “Sashi Brown.” Kudos to whoever did that.
