Monsters Americans

CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland Monsters will be seeing a different bunch of teams come the 2018-19 season. Per the AHL, Cleveland will now be playing in the Eastern Conference’s North Division.

Cleveland previously resided in the Western Conference’s Central Division, where they faced the likes of Grand Rapids and Chicago. Now, they’ll be seeing teams such as Toronto and Utica. The North Division is currently this: Cleveland, Toronto, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Laval, Binghamton, and Belleville.

In exchange for taking Cleveland out of the Central Division, Texas and San Antonio have joined the Monsters’ former division. Colorado was also named as the 31st AHL franchise and will begin play next season.

Speaking of next season, opening night will be October 5th.
