Cavs Win Epic Game 7 for the Ages 93-89. Cleveland has a Champion!

The Cavs won Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals in an epic battle for the ages, 93-89.

LeBron posted a triple-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.

It was a balanced first quarter for both sides, as six players scored for Cleveland, while Golden State’s threes were falling.

The Warriors shot 5-for-11 from beyond the arc in the quarter.

The Cavs led 23-22 after 12 minutes of play.

Cleveland was ice cold from three-point range, going 0-for-8 in the first 17 minutes of the game before Iman Shumpert knocked one down, while being fouled, converting the four-point play at the free throw line.

Draymond Green fired back with a three of his own, as the forward was perfect on his first three attempts from deep.

Green made it 4-for-4, but Kyrie Irving came right back, driving to the hoop and dtawing a foul, leading to a three-point play to tie the game at 38.

Green knocked down yet another three, but LeBron James responded, making a difficult layup while drawing contact. He would miss the free throw.

Golden State would end the half on an 8-2 run to enter the break leading 49-42.

Green led all scorers with 22 points in the first half.

LeBron and Kyrie combined for 21.

Steph Curry found himself in a bit of early foul trouble, commiting his third foul late in the second quarter. He scored nine points in the half.

Klay Thompson and Kevin Love each scored five.

The Warriors made 10-of-21 three-point attempts in the half, while 14 of Cleveland’s 16 made field goals came in the paint.

Irving opened up the second half by knocking down a jumper and Green finally missed his first three of the night.

Thompson scored the Warriors’ first five points of the second half.

J.R. Smith hit back-to-back threes to cut it from an eight-point game down to two, and Irving followed it up with a beautful finish to tie the game at 54 with 8:53 left in the third quarter. The Warriors would regroup, taking a timeout to stop the 8-0 run.

Curry would score five straight right out the timeout, prompting the Cavs to try to recollect themselves.

Love and LeBron came right back, attacking inside to cut it to a one-point game with four quick points.

Irving would give the Cavs the lead with a lovely layup.

The 24-year-old continued to attack the basket, getting to the line on back-to-back possessions. His second trip was for a three-point play.

Irving would knock down a three-pointer, making scoring ten straight points for the Cavs during their 14-2 run.

Cleveland led by as many as seven before Green drew a foul on LeBron while attempting a three. Green would hit all his free throws to make it a four-point game.

Green would cut it to a two-point game, hittinf his sixth three of the night to follow up a Tristan Thompson free throw.

Shaun Livingston tied the game at 71 with less than two minutes to play in the third, throwing down a fastbreak dunk off of a Curry assist.

Both sides traded baskets for the next two minutes and Andre Iguodala hit a difficult hook shot with four seconds left on the clock.

The Warriors would lead 76-75 heading into the final quarter of the season.

LeBron knocked down a close-range jumper to open up the fourth and give the Cavs the lead.

Love followed him up with a hook shot to make it 79-76.

Livingston drove to the hoop and was fouled. He would sink both free throws.

Irving missed a difficult close-range jumper, but got his own rebound and put it back in, prompting a Golden State timeout with 9:05 remaining.

Green brought the Warriors within one with a driving layup right out of the timeout.

Iguodala would draw a foul on a drive with 7:40 to play, but missed both free throws.

LeBron took it all the way to the rack on the next possession, but Curry fired back with a game-tying three.

Thompson hit a deep two to give the Warriors an 85-83 lead with 6:18 left.

Green cleaned up a missed layuo by Curry to make it a four-point game, but LeBron drew a foul while shooting a three on the next possession.

He would hit all three free throws to cut it to a one-point game.

LeBron drained his first three of the night, but Thompson answered back with a layup to tie the game at 89 with 4:39 remaining.

Neither side could buy a basket for the next three and a half minutes, and LeBron came through with an amazing block with just under two minutes to play.

Irving broke the tie with the biggest shot of his life, a clutch three to make it 92-89.

Curry missed a three on the opposite end.

LeBron was fouled hard attempting a vicious dunk with 10.6 seconds to play.

He laid on the ground in agony, appearing to have injured his wrist.

LeBron missed the first free throw. He made the second.

The Warriors called timeout. Down four with 10 seconds left.

Curry missed a three. The Cavs are champions!

Irving scored 26. Green scored 32 while Curry scored 17 and Thompson scored 14 in the loss.
