Cavs sign forward Okaro White to 10-day contract

CLEVELAND– The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed forward Okaro White to a 10-day contract, The Vertical’s Shams Charania reported on Sunday. White last played for the Miami Heat this season, suiting up in six games to average 13.3 minutes played and 3.3 points scored per contest.

The 25-year-old White has only appeared in 41 NBA games, but has thrived in the G-League. In 23 games, all of them starts, White has posted 18.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

The Florida State product doesn’t necessarily get rid of Cleveland’s size problem in the paint, but can possibly become an energy guy off the bench.
