Cavs Return to Cleveland for Three-Game Home Stand

The Cavaliers are back in Cleveland after going 1-2 on a three-game road trip, in which they lost the last two games. Saturday night the Cavs fell to the Milwaukee Bucks in double overtime and Tuesday night they blew a 13-point lead at Detroit.

The Cavs have an opportunity for payback against the Bucks Thursday night at the Q. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 PM and the game will be nationally televised on TNT.

Thursday night’s game will be the first of six “Hardwood Classic” games throughout the season, as the Cavs will honor the legendary teams of the 70’s, wearing gold throwback uniforms.

There will also be a specially produced player introduction video in the theme of the 1970’s Cavalier teams.

The Cavs are 5-0 at home this season and look to improve after dropping two straight. LeBron James mentioned after Tuesday night’s loss to Detroit that he did not feel the team was playing well so far.

James told reporters, “We have the ability to be a great team, but right now we’re not a very good team.. We lost in the Finals and the team that beat us looks more hungry than we are.”

The Cavs 8-3 start is one of the best in franchise history, but the Golden State Warriors, who LeBron alluded to are 12-0, closing in on the record for best start to a season in NBA history (15-0).

Following Thursday night’s game against Milwaukee the Cavs stay home for two more games as they host the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night and wrap up their home stand Monday night against the Orlando Magic.
